Garden sentinel

Kai has been keeping busy "helping" with the garden. As I have worked to trellis the beans, peas and tomatoes, he has been chewing on grass, twigs, leaves, twine bits and romping with his row cover.

He also has been rolling, stepping in rows on various plants and trying to catch bugs.

He has to take it pretty easy, though, because all this heat and humidity can wear a boy out.

He's having a wee rest here in the air-conditioned splendor of the living room, showing his latest pose with his front feet, which he seems to be doing on a regular basis now. It must be comfy. It looks comfy.

He's still such a baby, isn't he? After playing with his toys, he often cuddles up with them for a nap, this time on his bed in front of the fireplace. That's Jack the Kong Wubba rabbit under his head and Rascal the raccoon at his tailfeathers.
