Snowfall

It was a fun Thanksgiving day for the boy, who got to investigate every little whiff that caught his nose.

Here he is looking so very fine in his hunting orange vest, with the late afternoon sun limning him in a golden light.

It was a pleasant day after all that snow on Wednesday, so pleasant that this wee bug was walking across the snow down where the cattails live below the mill.

Thanks to the landowner, who drove as far as the mill, I only had to break trail past there. We only went as far as the second woodlot Thursday, but it was a pretty walk and well worth the effort. Kai, of course, could not have cared less, bounding around like a jack rabbit.

He adores the snow.
