I was away for less than two days this weekend to my grandmother's, and by the time I returned home, the colors had changed on the trees in the yard. Monday was a gloriously sunny day and this view in the back yard was the result.
There is something inexplicable about the light in autumn. I wait for moments such as this each year when the world I know glows, basking in the sun. It is the last hurrah before the dull gray-brown overtakes the earth.
