The last pansy

I caught sight of this brave pansy earlier this month. It had snowed, then rain melted it mostly away. Yes, that's snow on the leaves.

I slipped out after walking the dog to take the picture in the deep, dark night, just a short while before more snow fell. Not a lot, but enough to bury the wee bloom.

I hope the pansy barrel sleeps well!
