Love-in-a-mist

Another annual that's doing well is the nigella (bottom of photo), also called love-in-a-mist. The fernlike foliage is beautiful and the flowers turn into lovely seedpods.

The pink flower above it is clarkia, a longtime favorite of mine. I'm thinking to do a column about it since I found out who discovered it and where it came from. It's such an interesting bloom.
