It's a brown, brown world

This autumn has been brown and gray, excessively so.

Texturally, this is a nice shot of a little stream not far from where I live. But the colors are mind-numbing. It's an awkward time of year, caught between autumn color and winter's crisp white and blue.

It probably hasn't helped that we have had gray day after gray day this past month.

We had some snow over the past weekend, but the big rain that came blowing through Tuesday got rid of that. Maybe it will melt my frozen rain barrels, too (yes, I left them full too long and they froze last week, as in froze solid).

Happy Black Friday. Now go buy gardening stuff.
