On Friday, a damp and cold day, I went grief garden shopping. For me, there is no better way to honor my Daisy dog than with plants. I am thinking of getting one of the pagoda dogwoods in her memory, but for now, I found this astonishingly beautiful tree peony at
Windswept Gardens in Bangor. It started to open Saturday night and this morning was in full, delirious bloom.
